It is not a new phenomenon. There have been periodic changes in leisure activities since a long time. The process of globalisation in the 1990s already brought several changes in leisure activities in developing countries as well as developed countries, for example, the mall and multiplex culture, large scale developed communication, transportation system including multiplex and flight system changed the whole scenario of leisure activities. Moreover, many countries developed forced authoritarian power structure where the government applied serious curbs on leisure activities, creating large scale fear psychosis to the people. In addition to that, the Russia-Ukraine war created much trouble in the world in general, and to the Western world in particular. It created a paradigm shift in leisure activities. It is imperative to have brainstorming sessions to analyses the above. Abstract Submissions: No abstracts have been submitted to this session yet.

A Proposal for RC 13 Post-COVID-19 Era: How to Deal with Our Leisure Life (1,June,2022) Background Against on the Social and Academic The COVID-19 pandemic is in its third year, and the world is still in the midst of a pandemic (or an epidemic prevention). It’s seem that human society has to accept the coming up the COVID-19 Era. According to the predictions of scientists: the future life of human beings will be accompanied by "viruses" for several years, more than a decade, or even longer; the social running track will be in an "uncertain" and "more complex" system. Although there is no unified definition of the "Post-COVID-19 Era" which as a "watershed" will subvert the original mode of production, lifestyle and behavior of human beings. During the three-year period of the big pandemic, most countries in the world are in the status quo of shutdown, quarantine, stop at home, stop work, stop school and so on. Although, with the help of technology, to use online education, online medical care, remote services, online meetings, home office, online shopping and other forms have emerged to maintain a certain social operation. However, it has brought changes to people's lives in many aspects: between work and life form's boundaries have been changed; personal normal time-space structure, order, and rules have been changed, and private space, consumption space, and public space have become changed. The original public services, social interaction, community communication, tourism, vacation, entertainment, sports, performances and other activities have been greatly restricted. What is even more serious is that in the absence of natural comfort and community communication, there are problems with people's psychological and spiritual systems, and irritability, fear, loneliness, and even suicide have become a common phenomena. Leisure is an important part of human exist and life, as well as a sociocultural phenomenon that makes us “state of becoming” and “socialization in leisure” through individual, collective or communal activities.(John Kelly1987) "Leisure is the center around which everything surrounds" (Aristotle), and without this center, our life edifice? will be to tilt, and "crisis" will inevitably be brought into our life - crisis is a potential negative impact.(Larry Barton, 1993) The arrival of the Post-COVID-19 Era: how to deal with the future leisure life is a challenge and crisis we face together, and it is also a new topic that leisure sociology needs to answer. Based on this, we discuss under this topic: 1.How to define the "Post-COVID-19 Era"? 2.What changes will the Post-COVID-19 Era bring to our leisure life? 3.What do these changes mean for leisure life in the future? 4.What experiences or unexpected gains you are in leisure life during the big pandemic? 5.What challenges will the sociological theory of leisure itself will be facing? 6.Related topics. Papers that are argued from an interdisciplinary perspective are more welcome.
